Buddhism
For my re project, I went with Grace and we did a big poster on different things about Buddhism. One of our subheadings were food. What I learnt about the food is that Buddhists are omnivores, but they prefer just to have meals with vegetables. Before they eat meat they always bless it and they are not allowed to kill the meat themselves. Another subheading was rules/laws. But Buddhists don’t really have any rules but they have behaviors that they have to follow. Some of them are don’t kill, don’t steal, don’t tell lies and more. We also did what they wear. We learnt that they wear 3 kinds of robes, one for the waist and down, one for the shoulders and down and one to put over your shoulders. They wear these robes when entering a temple. The last thing we did was traditions. The most important tradition is where they celebrate the birth and death of the Buddha.
